I want to tell people not to stereotype themselves : Ayushmann Khurrana


Actor Ayushmann Khurrana says his aim as an artiste is to constantly tell people not to stereotype themselves or others. He said that this was the purpose of his film Dream Girl. Whose release has completed two years today.

Ayushmann said that knowingly or unknowingly we are constantly bound to stereotype everything around us. Sometimes, we are not even aware that we are either being stereotyped or stereotyped by others.

The star credits his director Raaj Shaandilyaa and his producer Ekta Kapoor for trying to convey this important message through the film.
The actor said that I liked the script of Dream Girl as it asked us not to stereotype ourselves. It told us that when we break this cycle, we can bring about a positive change in the society.

He further said that when I decided to become Pooja, my character Karamveer distanced himself from the stereotype. For me, it was a fresh and disruptive idea. I am constantly on the lookout for topics that are different, and give a message to the audience.

Ayushmann reveals that he will find satisfaction as an actor if he continues on his mission to break stereotypes.
Ayushmann is currently awaiting the release of his three films Anek, Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui and Doctor Ji.
