Uttarakhand / Pithoragarh : Performance of contract workers for salary and job restoration

The contract health workers, who are fighting for the demand of salary and restoration of jobs, are upset due to departmental neglect. The employees said that the department made promises in difficult times and has now turned its back on them. Said that the workers are feeling cheated due to non-payment of salary after four months of service. On Friday, contract health workers gathered at the protest site at Takana Ramlila. During this, he protested against the health department, shouting slogans. The personnel said that by taking out their work during the Corona period, the department has shown them the way out. Said he performed his duty continuously for four months, but he has also been deprived of his remuneration. The workers have demanded from the department to adjust in NHM or TNM, remove the workers working 100 days in COVID and not to cut 28 percent in salary. The workers said that if their demands were not met, they would launch a fierce agitation.
