Uttarakhand / Pithoragarh : PM’s effigy burnt in protest against inflation

Congressmen have gheraoed the Modi government on rising inflation in the country. The activists said that inflation has broken the back of the common man under Modi’s rule. From food items to petrol-diesel, cooking gas, all the records have been broken. The Modi government has misled the public by showing the dream of ‘Acche Din’. On Friday, the workers gathered at Shaheed Chowk under the leadership of Congress District General Secretary Lalit Bhandari. During this, he protested against PM Modi, shouting slogans and burnt the effigy. The workers said that it has become difficult for the poor section to buy even edible oil under Modi rule. The price of oil has crossed 200 hundred. At the same time, people have to spend more than 900 rupees for the kitchen. The government has done the work of robbing people’s pockets by talking about subsidy. The record increase in the price of petrol and diesel has further fueled the inflation. With the increase in freight, all the materials have become more expensive than before. The workers said that it has become difficult for the common man to survive in the Modi government.
