Cloudy, light rain likely in Delhi today : IMD

Delhi will see partly cloudy sky on Saturday. The Meteorological Department has predicted light rain in the national capital and its adjoining areas. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) website showed 90 per cent relative humidity till 9.30 am. Delhi’s air quality was 95 AQI in Anand Vihar, 73 in ITO and 62 in Pusa. According to CPCB (Centre), all three figures fall under the satisfactory category. On the outskirts of the national capital like Najafgarh, 46 AQI has been registered.
An official of the Meteorological Department said that there is a possibility of light to moderate rain in Delhi and its adjoining areas.
He said that the intensity of rain would start decreasing from Monday.
A Yellow Alert is currently issued for Saturday and Sunday, indicating low-level weather activity with mainly light rain.
The maximum temperature is expected to be around 33 degree Celsius, the minimum recorded is 25 degree Celsius.
With Friday evening’s rain, the Safdarjung Observatory recorded 4.1 mm of rain, just 4 mm less than its monthly quota of rain (413.3 mm). Similar drizzle is likely over Delhi-NCR by next week.
Ayanagar station received the highest 11.8 mm of rain last evening, followed by the Ridge at 11 mm.
