The Supreme Court Registry has directed the National Informatics Center, which provides e-mail facilities, to remove the slogan and use the image of the Supreme Court in place of the existing image. After which the photo of the Supreme Court is being used as a new picture.

Late Thursday (September 22) late evening, after some lawyers raised objections, it came to the notice of the Registry that the official e-mail of the Supreme Court was accompanied by a photo of PM Modi and an election slogan, which has been linked to the functioning of the judiciary. There is no relation. Directions to remove it were issued on Friday (23 September).

The matter was raised on the WhatsApp group of the Supreme Court Advocates-on-Record Association. In the message written in the group, the lawyer wrote that Sir, a notice was sent to me by the Supreme Court Registry. In which the picture of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is visible. The message said that the Supreme Court is an independent organ and not a part of the government, so you are requested to take up the matter with the CJI and lodge a protest.

At the same time, the National Informatics Center (NIC), which provides e-mail related facility on this matter, said that this script is being used for all platforms of NIC, after the complaint, the Supreme Court took steps to remove it from the platform. Let us tell you that this email facility is used by the Supreme Court for work like giving information to lawyers and giving notices. At the same time, the lawyers who raised objections were from the Advocates-on-Record Association. It is the lawyers who are qualified to represent the Supreme Court, only the AOR can file a case in the apex court.
