After the Supreme Court, a senior official of NHRC also raised objections to Modi’s picture in the email, saying – I did not know that this is how we are used

The court had lodged an objection to the use of a picture of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the slogan ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas and Sabka Vishwas’ in the footer of the official mail id of the Supreme Court. After which it was removed. At the same time, a senior official of the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) also asked about showing the picture of PM Modi and the slogan “Sabka Saath” in the official mail sent by the NHRC, saying that it can affect the opinion of the people about the independence of the commission. Is.

Let us tell you that before this, it was being used without permission even in the official e-mail of the Supreme Court. A top NHRC official said the Human Rights Commission was unaware of the matter as only the recipients of the mail could see Modi’s picture and slogan.

We were unaware that our platform was being used by the National Informatics Center (run under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology) for such purposes, the official said. That said, our website and digital network is controlled by NIC.

Let us inform that earlier on Thursday (September 22) late evening, it came to the notice of the Supreme Court Registry after some lawyers raised objections that PM Modi’s photo and his election slogan are being included in the official e-mail of the apex court, Which has nothing to do with the functioning of the judiciary. Directions to remove it were issued on Friday (23 September).

On such objection, the National Informatics Center (NIC), which provides the facility related to e-mail, had said on its behalf that this script is being used on all platforms of NIC, although after the complaint, the platform of the Supreme Court Steps were taken to remove it. NIC said that this is not the first time, even before this we had used a message related to Gandhi Jayanti in this way.

Significantly, the Supreme Court uses its official email facility for information and notices to lawyers. The lawyers who raised objections to PM Modi’s photo and slogan belonged to the Advocates-on-Record Association.
