Petrol and diesel at all-time levels

Diesel became costlier by 30 paise and petrol by 25 paise per liter on Sunday for the fourth consecutive day under pressure of crude oil to remain around $ 80 per barrel in the international market. After this increase, petrol in the capital Delhi reached an all-time high of Rs 102.39 per liter and diesel at an all-time high of Rs 90.77 per liter.

Petrol has become costlier by 1.20 paise in five out of the last six days. Diesel too has gone up by Rs 2.15 per liter in eight of the 10 days. The way petrol and diesel prices have been increased in the last week, it is going to increase dearly.

At the close of trading in the US market on the weekend, Brett crude reached close to $ 80 per barrel and US crude was around $ 76 per barrel.

According to oil marketing company Indian Oil Corporation, petrol in Delhi reached Rs 102.39 per liter and diesel at Rs 90.77 per liter. Even after this increase, petrol in Noida of Delhi NCR is at Rs 99.70 per liter and diesel at Rs 91.38 per liter.

Prices of petrol and diesel are reviewed daily and on the basis of that new prices are implemented every day from 6 am.
