Get better price for the produce of the farmers

Agricultural activities have to be increased and farmers have to get better price for their produce. For which the Department of Agriculture, Horticulture will do a better job. Action plan will be prepared in the form of block wise cluster and the income of farmers will be doubled.

In a meeting held at Vikas Bhawan auditorium on Monday, District Magistrate Vineet Kumar said that efforts are to be made to increase the income of the farmers. For which there is a need to develop a strong system of sale of agricultural produce. In Malta village of the district, clusters were formed for vegetables, ginger, turmeric, garlic and other fruits. The cluster of kiwi and potato is proposed in Amasyari of Garuda, Shama of Kapkot. According to the cluster approach, survey etc. has to be done within a month.

The Indian Social Responsibility System will conduct various activities. Farmers have to get the benefit of high technology as per rules as well as to produce non-traditional crops. Farmers have to be made self-dependent and their income can be doubled by 2022. 33 thousand farmers are KCC holders. 21 thousand farmers have taken loan. Those farmers who have not got crop loans should also be given them. CDO DD Pant, PD Shilpi Pant, GP Durgapal, BP Maurya, Dr. Uday Shankar, RK Singh, Girish Pant etc. were present in the meeting.
