Uttarakhand : Public grievances received on CM Helpline should be resolved in a timely manner: CM

Instructions to make high level monitoring mechanism

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, while reviewing the CM Helpline-1905 at the Chief Minister’s residence, directed the officers to ensure that the public grievances received on the CM Helpline are resolved in a time bound manner. For this a high level monitoring mechanism should be created. In a month, a meeting should be held by the Chief Secretary and every 15 days by the departmental secretaries for its monitoring.

Strict action will be taken on negligence in redressal of public grievances
The Chief Minister said that for redressal of public grievances on the CM Helpline, if at any stage the concerned officer is being negligent, then strict action should be taken against such officers at the earliest. The people up to the last line of the society should get help from the CM helpline and their problems should be resolved, so that information should also be conveyed to the people. If there is an emergency call on the CM Helpline, arrangements should also be made to connect them to the concerned helpline numbers or emergency services to help the person concerned.

CM took feedback from complainants
The Chief Minister said that the complaints or complaint letters that come directly to the Chief Minister’s office should also be put in the CM Helpline. Resolving public grievances and problems is the top priority of the government. On this occasion, the Chief Minister also spoke to the complainant of CM Helpline 1905, Pankaj Goswami of Agastyamuni and Bina Pant of Haldwani by phone. Pankaj Goswami had applied for Police Verification on Devbhoomi App. Due to lack of verification for a long time, he had complained on the CM helpline. He told that his police verification was done within 12 hours of complaint on CM helpline. For this he thanked the Chief Minister. Bina told that she had complained to the CM helpline to solve the problem related to electricity. The problem was resolved soon after complaining on the CM helpline. For this, he expressed his gratitude to the Chief Minister and said that the number 1905 is proving to be very effective for speedy resolution of public problems.
Director ITDA Dr. Ashish Kumar Srivastava informed that public complaints are being registered on the Chief Minister’s helpline number every day from 08:00 am to 12 pm. Earlier it was being recorded till 10 pm. After the instructions of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, it has been extended by 02 hours. 54 departments and 155 sub-divisions are registered in CM Helpline. Four levels have been created to solve the problems. Which is up to Block, District, Head of Department and Government level respectively. A total of 174250 complaints have been registered so far on CM Helpline 1905. Out of which 105060 have been closed after the satisfaction of the complainant. On the rest, the process is in progress at different levels.
