Precious metals shine
Due to the rise in foreign markets, gold rose by Rs 200 per ten grams and silver by Rs 1470 per kg in the domestic bullion market last week. In the global market, spot gold rose by $ 10.59 an ounce to reach $ 1767.26 an ounce on the weekend. At the same time, US gold futures also rose by $ 11.5 an ounce to $ 1766.70 an ounce. Similarly, silver spot rose by $ 0.62 to $ 23.28 an ounce during this period.
The strength of the global market last week determined the direction of the domestic market. In the country’s largest futures market MCX, gold rose by Rs 200 to Rs 47213 per ten grams and gold mini rose by Rs 184 to Rs 47106 per ten grams on the weekend. Locally, silver also rose by Rs 1470 to Rs 63271 per kg and silver mini by Rs 1410 to Rs 63443 per kg during the period under review.
