13 year old Tajamul Islam of Kashmir brought laurels to the country by winning gold in Egypt
13-year-old Tajamul Islam, a resident of Kashmir, performed brilliantly in the World Kick Boxing Championship played in Egypt. During this, he illuminated the name of India by winning the gold medal for the second time. Earlier in 2016, Tajamul also won the World Championship in Italy.
Tajamul, who lives in Bandipora, Kashmir, won the gold medal by defeating Lalina of Argentina in the Under-14 category in the ongoing World Cup Championship in Cairo. Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha congratulated him on this special achievement.
Sinha tweeted along with Tajamul’s picture and wrote, “Many congratulations to Tajamul Islam of Bandipora for creating history in Cairo Egypt by winning a gold medal at the 2021 World Kickboxing Championships. Our young kickboxing champion has done exceptionally well over the years.

At the same time, after the victory, Tajmul expressed happiness on his achievement by tweeting and he wrote, ‘This is a proud moment for me. I have won a gold medal in the Under-14 category of the ongoing World Cup Championship in Cairo. Now I have become the world champion for the second time, before this Tajmul won the first world title in kickboxing in 2016 at the age of 8.
Tajmul has now expressed his desire to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said, we need your blessings so that we can go to the Olympics and get the medal from there. Our team wants to meet you.
