Police arrested Youth Congress workers who were protesting by showing black flags on the arrival of Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Dehradun. On Saturday, Union Home and Cooperation Minister and former BJP National President Amit Shah reached Uttarakhand on Saturday.
Shah addressed a public meeting in Dehradun and also launched the state government’s Ghasiyari Kalyan Yojana. During this, Youth Congress workers and members of NSUI student organization protested and demonstrated Shah’s arrival in Doon by showing black flags. In the horrific disaster in the state by the Youth Congress Dehradun, a protest was held against the Center not giving any kind of relief package, rising inflation and unemployment.
They also raised slogans against the BJP government at the Center and in the state. During this there was also a fierce clash between the police and the protesters. After which the protesting activists were arrested by the police.
