In the government which is telling soldiers and ex-servicemen as their well-wishers, in the same government, ex-servicemen are getting deprived of the facilities provided for themselves. Here we want to tell the state government and ex-servicemen that in the CSD canteens set up for ex-servicemen in the hill districts of the state, the remote soldiers have been kind to their families for household necessities. According to the remote ex-servicemen of Rudraprayag district, they reach the canteen after covering a distance of 50 to 70 km from their homes to pick up the goods in the canteen, but the goods are not available in the canteen. On the other hand, the local ex-servicemen carry 2-3 cards and carry more items than necessary, while the ex-servicemen are opening shops and selling the goods taken from the canteen at the market price. This is not only the case of Rudraprayag district, but this is the condition of more than 90 percent of the canteens in the state. The remote soldiers of Rudraprayag district say that they have also protected the borders of the country like the ex-servicemen living near the canteen, so why discriminate against them? Along with the respect of the ex-servicemen, the government should also pay attention to their facilities.
