Stampede during music festival in America, 8 killed
At least 8 people have been killed and many injured at a music festival in America. This information has been given by US security officials.
Houston Fire Chief Samuel Pea told AFP news agency that at least eight people had been confirmed dead and several were injured. He has told that 17 people were taken to the hospital, 11 of them were in cardiac arrest.
Texas officials say at least eight people have died as crowds gathered at the Astroworld festival. This has happened due to increasing pressure towards the stage around 9 pm on 5 October. The show was called off soon after several people were injured.
About 50 thousand people participated in this event. About 300 people were injured who were treated. In view of the incident, the second and third day of the event has been canceled.
