Ganguly made the head of NCA by persuasion, left Sunrisers Hyderabad’s side

Former India batsman VVS Laxman has been made the new head of the National Cricket Academy. Earlier the head of the NCA was Rahul Dravid, who is now the coach of the Indian team. Earlier Laxman had refused to take over the post, but now BCCI President Sourav Ganguly has convinced him. Laxman can take over the new responsibility after India A’s tour of South Africa.
Lakshman agrees on his own terms
A BCCI official told the Times of India, “Laxman has agreed to become the NCA chief on his own terms. That’s what Sourav Ganguly and secretary Jay Shah wanted because Dravid and Laxman have an amazing understanding and it will be great for both Team India and NCA. The terms and conditions of his appointment are being worked out, but he has already started sharing his ideas with the NCA.
He further said that Laxman becoming the NCA head is part of a long process. His long conversation with Sourav Ganguly and Jay Shah went on for a long time. The biggest dilemma in front of Laxman was about settling down with family from Hyderabad to Bangalore.
He also spoke to Sunrisers Hyderabad, of which he is a mentor. However, now all the problems have been resolved. Laxman has played 134 Tests and 86 ODIs for Team India.
Laxman wanted to become the coach of Team India
Laxman wanted to become the coach of Team India instead of Ravi Shastri. If Rahul Dravid did not hold this position, then Laxman was the only option. Let us tell you that now Laxman will not be able to be the mentor of Hyderabad in the IPL, because according to the rules of BCCI, you cannot take any other responsibility of cricket while being the head of the NCA.
