After the Delhi government, now the Manohar Lal Khattar government of Haryana has also taken a big decision due to the increasing pollution. The government has issued an order to close all government and private schools in 4 districts of the state. Schools in Gurugram, Jhajjar, Faridabad and Sonipat will remain closed till November 17.
In fact, the Air Quality Index (AQI) of Gurugram was recorded at 287 on Sunday. However, schools in Delhi have been closed for 7 days. Block Education Officer Sheel Kumari said that orders have been given to close the schools on behalf of the disaster management. Issuance of letter from Directorate is awaited.
