BJP’s attack on Navjot Singh Sidhu
A video of Punjab Congress president Sidhu has gone viral on social media, in which a Pakistani official is seen welcoming him on behalf of Imran Khan and the Punjab Congress president is heard saying that Khan is his “elder brother”. Like they are and he loves them very much. Attacking the Congress on this issue, BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra said that it is a serious matter for crores of Indians, a matter of concern.
“Congress’s Way of Glorifying Pakistan”
BJP leader Sambit Patra claimed that Sidhu’s statement was not just an incident, but it has become a way for the Congress party to target Hindutva and glorify Pakistan. Referring to Congress leader Salman Khurshid’s book, Patra said the opposition party sees terrorist organizations like Boko Haram and ISIS in Hindutva while “Bhai Jaan” in Khan.
Sambit Patra said that the only reason behind doing this is the Congress’s politics of appeasement because it still feels that there will be a section in India which would be happy with the glorification of Pakistan. He said that although there is no such class in India. No Indian will be pleased with the glorification of Pakistan. But this is the politics of appeasement.
