Mobile recharge became expensive, after Airtel Vodafone Idea also increased prepaid mobile tariff

Mobile phone recharge has become expensive now. You will have to pay more money for surfing the net with talking on mobile. Vodafone Idea, the country’s third largest telecom company after Airtel, has also announced to increase mobile tariff by 20 to 25 percent. This hike will be applicable from November 25.

Vodafone Idea’s cheapest prepaid mobile tariff plan with a validity of 28 days used to pay Rs 79 earlier, but after increasing the tariff, you will have to pay Rs 99. At the same time, for the prepaid plan of Rs 149 with validity of 28 days, now Rs 179 will have to be paid.

Earlier on Monday, Bharti Airtel had also announced to increase the prepaid mobile tariff by 20 to 25 percent, which is going to be implemented from November 26. After Airtel and Vodafone Idea, it is believed that Reliance Jio can also announce an increase in tariff anytime.

Tariff hiked to improve financial health

Announcing the increase in tariff, Vodafone Idea has said that increasing the tariff will help in increasing the Mobile Average Revenue Per User (ARPU). Also, it will help in recovering the entire telecom sector from the financial crisis. According to Vodafone Idea, after increasing the tariff, it will help in improving the mobile network.

How expensive did Vodafone Idea’s prepaid tariff become?

Let’s look at other prepaid plans of Vodafone Idea whose tariff has been increased.

  • For the prepaid plan of Rs 219, Rs 269 will have to be paid, whose validity period is 28 days. 100 SMS per day and 1 GB data per day are available for this plan.
  • 299 rupees will have to be paid for the prepaid plan of Rs 249, whose validity period is 28 days. 100 SMS per day and 1.5 GB data per day are available for this plan.
  • For the prepaid plan of Rs 299, Rs 359 will have to be paid, whose validity period is 28 days. 100 SMS per day and 2 GB data per day are available for this plan.
  • For a prepaid plan of Rs 399, you will have to pay Rs 479, which has a validity period of 56 days. 100 SMS per day and 1.5 GB data per day are available for this plan.
  • For a prepaid plan of Rs 449, Rs 539 will have to be paid, which has a validity period of 56 days. 100 SMS per day and 2 GB data per day are available for this plan.
  • For the prepaid plan of Rs 379, Rs 459 will have to be paid, whose validity period is 84 days. 100 SMS per day and 6 GB data is available for this plan.
