Farmers movement completed one year, stir again on Delhi borders, ‘Kisan Mahapanchayat’ started in Bahadurgarh
The farmers’ agitation on the borders of Delhi has completed one year today to protest against the new agricultural laws of the Center and many demands. On this occasion, the gathering of farmers of UP, Haryana and Punjab has increased once again at Singhu and Tikri border, Ghazipur border. However, the Center has recently announced the withdrawal of all three agriculture laws. Despite this, the farmers are not ready to return yet. In view of this, security arrangements have been tightened in various border areas of the capital.
Thousands of farmers from both the states including Amritsar, Jalandhar, Ferozepur, Patiala, Ludhiana, Sangrur, Ambala, Hisar, Sirsa, Rohtak, Kurukshetra, Bhiwani are reaching the borders of Delhi on completion of one year of the farmers’ movement. According to the police, security has been tightened and paramilitary forces will be deployed along with Delhi Police personnel at the places where the protesting farmers are sitting on dharna.
