Uttar Pradesh / Bulandshahr : Indiscriminate firing on former block chief’s convoy, four injured, one dead
In Bulandshahr, the convoy of RLD leader Haji Yunus was attacked by miscreants armed with automatic weapons near Bhaipur village of Kotwali countryside on Sunday. During that time Haji Yunus was returning home after attending a wedding ceremony. Haji Yunus says that 5 unidentified assailants opened fire on his convoy. In which one died, while 4 were injured. Taking the complaint of the victim, the police has started investigating the incident. Meerut IG has said to attack in family rivalry.
According to the information, Haji Yunus, a resident of Bulandshahr, was returning home after attending a wedding ceremony. When they reached near Bhaipur village. At the same time, riding in a car, more than 5 attackers reached the spot and started firing at their convoy. On getting information about the incident, a crowd of people gathered at the spot. On getting the information, the police also reached the spot. Haji Yunus alleges that for the last 6 months, apprehension of murder, he has been coming requesting for security from the SSP, but no security was provided to him.
On the other hand, in view of the serious condition of the injured, the Delhi Higher Center has been referred. Haji Yunus has feared an attack on his elder brother Haji Ali’s son Anas over his murder. Anas is currently lodged in Dasna jail in connection with the murder of his own father Haji Ali. SSP Santosh Kumar Singh says that the role of the jailed Anas is being investigated. The incident will be disclosed soon.
Regarding the attack on the convoy of former block chief Haji Younis in village Bhaipur of Kotwali Dehat area of Bulandshahr, Meerut IG Praveen Kumar says that this firing was carried out due to family enmity. 5 people were injured in this firing. One has died and 4 people are still injured. Who are being treated in various hospitals.
