Plea for ban on Congress rally dismissed in High Court; Gehlot Sarkar said – PIL was a publicity stunt
The Rajasthan High Court on Monday dismissed a petition challenging the Congress’s national rally against inflation to be held in Jaipur on December 12. The Divisional Bench of Chief Justice Akil Qureshi and Justice Umashankar Vyas gave this order while hearing a PIL filed by Rajesh Mutha. After this, the Congress has intensified the preparations for its rally. On the other hand, Health Secretary Vaibhav Galaria has instructed the department to make preparations in view of the possibility of third wave of Kovid.
Government calls PIL a publicity stunt and politically motivated
AG MS Singhvi, appearing for the Rajasthan government in the court, called this PIL a publicity stunt and politically motivated. Said that the day the news about the Congress rally was published, the same day the petition was filed without preparation. The petition did not challenge the BJP rally to be held on December 5. Also, told the court that doctors have said that Omicron is not very deadly. After the dismissal of the petition, the Congress party has started preparing for the big rally.
Medical and Health Secretary Vaibhav Galaria has admitted that there is a possibility of a third wave. In view of this, instructions have been issued for timely installation of necessary equipment including oxygen plants, ICU beds in hospitals. Along with this, doctors, nursing staff have also been asked to get training in ICU management, oxygen therapy treatment protocol.
