The marriage ceremony is going on in the political families in Maharashtra. Wedding preparations are also taking place at the house of Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut, Congress state president Nana Patole, ministers Gulabrao Patil, Jitendra Awhad and now BJP leader Harshvardhan Patil.
Former Cooperative Minister Harshvardhan Patil’s daughter Ankita Patil is going to become the daughter-in-law of the Thackeray family. This wedding will take place on December 28 at the Taj Hotel in Mumbai. Among the selected people, advocates of the Thackeray family, Nihar Thackeray and Ankita Patil will tie the knot.
Ankita Patil is currently a member of the Pune Zilla Parishad and is also the Director of the Indian Sugar Mills Association. Nihar is the son of Shiv Sena chief Balasaheb Thackeray’s late son Bindu Madhav Thackeray. He is working as Advocate in Mumbai.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray is Nihar’s real uncle and MNS chief Raj Thackeray is a cousin. Harshvardhan Patil went to Raj Thackeray’s house and invited marriage.
Harshvardhan Patil was earlier in Congress and switched to BJP just before the 2019 assembly elections. Harshvardhan Patil is considered a strong leader. He has been a four-time MLA from Indapur assembly seat of Pune district. Harshvardhan Patil also has the record of serving as a minister in all state governments from 1995 to 2014.
In 1995, 1999 and 2004, he won as an independent candidate. In 2009, he contested the elections on a Congress ticket. In 1995, he supported the Shiv Sena-BJP government and was also made a minister.
Bindu Madhav Thackeray passed away in 1996. At that time there was a BJP-Shiv Sena coalition government in Maharashtra. At that time, Balasaheb Thackeray had envisioned building the Mumbai-Pune Expressway in the memory of Bindu Thackeray. The work of this expressway had started in that government. But it took time to make it.
