CDS Rawat used to openly say that China is enemy number 1, Subramanian Swamy’s demand – get the helicopter crash probed by a SC judge

BJP’s Rajya Sabha MP Dr Subramanian Swamy has demanded a high-level inquiry into the Coonoor helicopter accident. Swamy said in a video message that CDS General Bipin Rawat was an outspoken officer, who would not be liked by many. He said that such a crash of such a highly rated aircraft demands a fair investigation. Referring to the death of a top military officer in Taiwan in a helicopter accident, he said that the Coonoor accident should be investigated under the supervision of a sitting judge of the Supreme Court.
Don’t like innocent people: Swami
Swami said that the sudden death of General Rawat is a big setback for everyone. Taking a jibe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he said that ‘when the PM did not even mention China’s name, despite the fact that the Chinese were in our border. General Rawat said in very clear words that more than Pakistan, China is our enemy number one. His outspokenness and record in the army made him known. Irresistible people are not liked much. When the Chinese attacked in Galvan too, he took an immediate decision, for which he was also scolded secretly.
Raising the question, the BJP MP said, ‘The killing of such an officer in a helicopter purchased from Russia is a unique incident. Recently something like this has happened in Taiwan where his top military officer died in a helicopter crash. Taiwanese are of the opinion that China had a hand in it. The government here is insisting that the accident happened due to bad weather.
The country needs to know whether it was an accident or was there any disturbance which was done by the forces inside the house or by the foreign forces or both together… Because there are representatives of many big countries in India, we have Spies from many countries have been caught. We treat such people softly. We have to get to the bottom of it.

How can this happen: Swami
Swamy said, ‘Defence Minister Rajnath Singh made a statement in Parliament that he is setting up an inquiry. But there is widespread concern that how can this happen? The helicopter was such that it is considered a super military aircraft, the accident happened during routine travel. The BJP MP said that in my opinion there is a need to conduct such an inquiry on which no one can question. I have suggested, which may not have been liked by the government spokesperson, that the sitting judge of the Supreme Court should oversee the investigation.
