Corona in Uttarakhand: 10 new patients found in 24 hours, total number of infected 156

In Uttarakhand, 10 new corona infected have been found in the last 24 hours. At the same time, no patient has died. On Friday, 27 patients were sent home after recovery. The number of active patients has increased to 156.

Infected found only in three districts

According to the bulletin issued by the Health Department, corona infected patients have been found in only three districts on Friday. Five infected have been found in Dehradun, three in Pauri and two in Pithoragarh district.

Infection rate reached 0.7 percent

So far the total number of corona infected in the state has gone up to 344421. Of these, 330677 people have been cured. A total of 7411 people have lost their lives due to corona in the state. The state’s recovery rate is 96.01 percent and infection rate is 0.07 percent.

To achieve the goal, more than one lakh vaccines will have to be applied daily

To achieve 100 percent target of COVID vaccination in Uttarakhand, more than one lakh doses will have to be administered in a day. The target of 22.33 lakh vaccine doses is left in the state in the next 22 days. According to the Social Development for Community Foundation, the daily target of COVID vaccination in the state has crossed one lakh for the first time. Now in the year 2021, only 22 days are left from Thursday to meet the target of 100% vaccination by December 31. The daily target has increased from 90849 on 1st December to 101517. The target was 82318 on 21st November and the same target 75014 on 11th November.

Foundation President Anoop Nautiyal says that the target of vaccination has increased. If all people above the age of 18 years are to be vaccinated by December 31, then 101517 doses will have to be administered every day. According to the Health Department data, till December 9, 76.56 lakh people above 18 years of age have been given the first dose and 55.69 lakh people have been given both doses.

The total number of people in the age group of 18 to 44 in the state needing the COVID vaccine is more than 49.34 lakh. While the number of people above 45 years of age is 27.95 lakh. A total of 77.29 lakh people are to be vaccinated. A total of 1.54 crore doses of vaccine are to be given in the state according to two doses per person. Anoop Nautiyal said that the speed that is needed in vaccination to meet the target, has not come yet. Whereas now only 22 days are left to complete the target. The government and the health department should now make full and door-to-door efforts for vaccination.
