Daughters performed last rites of CDS Bipin Rawat, bid farewell with military honors

The last rites of CDS Bipin Rawat, who lost his life in the Tamil Nadu chopper accident, were performed with full military honors at Brar Chowk in Delhi Cantt today. With this, CDS Bipin Rawat merged with his wife Madhulika into Panchtatva. When the army contingent bid him a final farewell with a 17-gun salute, the eyes of the dignitaries also became moist. Daughters lit the pyre of CDS and his wife.

Earlier, the mortal remains of CDS Bipin Rawat and his wife Madhulika Rawat were kept at their official residence for the last rites. Several dignitaries, including Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, reached his residence to pay tribute to CDS Bipin Rawat. Brigadier Lidder, who lost his life in this accident, was cremated at Brar Square in Delhi Cantt. During the last rites, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh was present at Brar Square, Delhi Cantt.
