Maharashtra : Aryan Khan sought relaxation from the court regarding the condition of attendance at NCB office every week

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan has approached the Bombay High Court seeking a change in the condition of weekly attendance at the anti-drug agency’s office as a condition of bail in the drug-on-cruise case. Aryan Khan’s application had sought waiver of the condition that he would appear in the South Mumbai office of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) every Friday.

It has been said in the petition that since the investigation has now been handed over to the Special Investigation Team of Delhi NCB, the condition of his appearance in Mumbai office can be relaxed.

The application also states that due to the large number of media outlets waiting outside, they have to be accompanied by policemen every time they visit the NCB office. His lawyers said that the application is likely to be heard in the High Court next week.

Aryan Khan was arrested by the NCB on 3 October on charges of possession, consumption, sale and purchase of drugs after a raid on a cruise ship in Mumbai.

He was granted bail by the High Court on 28 October. The High Court, in its detailed order, had found a huge gap in most of the allegations and arguments made by the NCB.

The High Court had also imposed 14 conditions on him. He was asked, among other things, to appear before the NCB every Friday, not to leave Mumbai without informing the agency and not to leave India without the special court’s permission.
