Uttarakhand / Almora : The District Magistrate took a meeting of the nodal officers regarding the preparations for the assembly elections

Regarding the preparations for the assembly elections, District Election Officer Vandana Singh took a meeting of the nodal officers in the collectorate auditorium. He directed that the responsibilities which have been assigned to the officers should be ensured to be discharged with full readiness. While directing the nodal officers, he said that teams of subordinate officers should also be deployed at the earliest. The nodal officer instructed the transport to acquire the vehicles and prepare their list. He instructed the nodal officer writing to invite tenders for writing and forms at the earliest.

The District Election Officer gave instructions to the Artha and Number Officer to complete the District Election Management Plan (DAMP) by December 12. Instructions were given to determine the rate list by sitting with the concerned about the promotional materials and other materials to be used during the election. He instructed the nodal officer training that training should be started at the earliest, in which the officers engaged in zonal, sector, SST, VST teams should be informed about the work to be performed by them. The District Election Officer said that before the model code of conduct, all the teams should be constituted and a list of the personnel working in it should be prepared. He made necessary arrangements in all the booths and if there is any shortage in any booth, then the deficiencies should be removed by coordinating with the concerned Deputy District Magistrate. During the meeting, the District Election Officer also discussed many other points. Apart from Chief Development Officer Navneet Pandey, various nodal officers were present in the meeting.
