Gold and silver become cheaper

However, even after this, the price of gold remained above Rs 47 thousand. There was a decline in silver prices today (Silver price today 14 December 2021). In the Delhi bullion market today, a decrease of only Rs 297 was recorded in the price of gold. At the same time, silver prices decreased by Rs 556 today.

In the Delhi bullion market, gold prices on Wednesday fell marginally by Rs 297 per 10 grams to close at Rs 47,019 per 10 grams. During the last trading session, gold had closed at Rs 47,316 per 10 grams in the Delhi bullion market.

There was also a decline in the price of silver. Silver prices on Tuesday closed marginally higher by Rs 556 at Rs 59,569 per kg in the Delhi bullion market. At the same time, silver had closed at Rs 60,125 per kg during the last trading session.
Why did the price of gold fall?
HDFC Securities Senior Analyst (Commodities) Tapan Patel said that on Wednesday, the spot gold prices on COMEX weakened to US $ 1,769 an ounce. Gold prices were under pressure ahead of the outcome of the US FOMC meeting.
