‘Sheena Bora is alive, find her in Kashmir’, Indrani Mukerjea’s letter to CBI
Indrani Mukerjea, the main accused in the famous Sheena Bora murder case, has made a huge claim. Indrani Mukerjea has claimed that her daughter Sheena Bora is alive and in Kashmir. Indrani Mukerjea has made this claim in a letter to the CBI Director.
In a letter to the CBI, Indrani Mukerjea has claimed that she recently met a woman in jail, who told her that she had met Sheena Bora in Kashmir. Indrani Mukerjea said that the CBI should look for Sheena Bora in Kashmir.
Sheena Bora was murdered in 2012. Indrani Mukerjea has been made the main accused in this case. Indrani has been lodged in Byculla Jail in Mumbai since 2015. His bail plea was rejected by the Bombay High Court last month. It is being told that Indrani can now go to the Supreme Court for bail.
About Sheena Bora Murder Case
The Sheena Bora murder case came to light when the police arrested Indrani Mukerjea’s driver Shyamvar Rai with a gun. During interrogation, he told that he was involved in another case and had allegedly witnessed a murder.
Shyamvar had told the Mumbai Police that Indrani Mukerjea had strangled Sheena Bora to death in 2012. Indrani used to tell Sheena as her sister. Further investigation revealed that Sheena Bora was Indrani’s first daughter who was blackmailing her mother to get her a home in Mumbai.
It was also revealed in the investigation that Indrani Mukerjea had left her daughter Sheena and son Mikhail. Sheena came to know about her mother when her picture with media executive Peter Mukerjea appeared in a magazine.
After that allegedly Sheena came to Mumbai. His mother Indrani called Sheena as her sister. Even told the same to her husband Peter Mukerjea. But Sheena disappeared in 2012. Later Rahul Mukherjee (son of Peter Mukerjea’s first wife) tried to know about Sheena. Rahul and Sheena were in love. Rahul later told that Sheena wanted to live abroad because he did not do anything.
When the matter came to light in 2015, investigation revealed that Indrani strangled Sheena to death in Mumbai’s Bandra and buried her body in Raigad district. Investigating agencies claimed that the remains of Sheena Bora were also found. However, Indrani rejected it.
After the arrest of Indrani, her ex-husband Sanjeev Khanna was also arrested for helping in the murder of the daughter and destroying the evidence. The CBI also arrested her husband Peter Mukerjea, who got bail in 2020. Indrani and Peter got divorced during the trial itself.
