Priyanka Gandhi furious over shameful statement regarding rape of Congress MLA in Karnataka

Congress MLA in Karnataka K.R. Priyanka Gandhi has reacted sharply to the party’s grit over Ramesh Kumar’s controversial remarks. Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi said on Friday, ‘She strongly opposes K.R. I condemn the statement of Ramesh Kumar. It is completely unimaginable how a person can use such words. Such statements cannot be defended. Rape is a heinous crime. full stop.’ This statement of Priyanka Gandhi has come at a time when BJP has taken an aggressive stand on this issue and questioned the silence of top Congress leaders. Union Minister Smriti Irani raised this issue in Parliament.

Ramesh Kumar had said in the Karnataka Assembly, ‘When rape is bound to happen, then lie down and have fun’. At the time of this statement, many MLAs were seen laughing in the house. The speaker was also seen laughing instead of taking action in this matter.

However, amid all-round criticism, Ramesh Kumar has apologized for his statement.
