Meteorologists had already predicted such extreme cold. The reason for this is La Nina. The name of a complex process that brings about change in the weather. This is a Spanish word. It means little girl.

The relationship of La Nina to weather

  • La Nia begins in the Pacific Ocean and has an impact on the climates around the world.
  • Meteorological changes occur in the area named Nino present in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.
  • If the temperature of the Nino area increases, then it is called El Nino, it increases the heat.
  • When the temperature of the Nino region decreases, it is called La Nina, it increases the cold.

So due to this La-Nina, winter is expected to be above normal in North, Central and East India. It is being said that the ‘La Nina’ of the Pacific Ocean is cooling faster than normal, the effect of which is still visible. According to the Meteorological Department, the coming days are going to be more cold. Winter is about to get worse.
