Harish Rawat’s tweet caused political storm, BJP took a jibe – ‘Amarinder of Uttarakhand can be Rawat’
Election season suddenly changed in Uttarakhand politics on Wednesday when former Chief Minister Harish Rawat took to social media to express his sadness and anger over the factionalism within the Congress. Referring to factionalism and his ‘political retirement’, Rawat wrote, ‘I am in a state of great uproar, maybe the new year will show some way.’ After this tweet, there was a stir in the politics of the state. On one hand Congress leaders denied any infighting, on the other hand BJP got a chance to announce the plight of Congress and BJP said that Rawat could be Amarinder Singh of Uttarakhand.

BJP started sarcasm

At the same time, former Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat said, ‘Harish Rawat is a veteran Congress leader and such a statement from his side is unfortunate. Their opposition in the party means that the Congress is scattered inside. Although this is Congress’s own matter, but if Congress people are doing this, Rawat will speak his mind, it is natural.
