Uttarakhand / Dehradun : Police will keep an eye on Christmas and New Year’s fun

Traffic plan will be released, action will be taken against those who disobey

To review the security and traffic arrangements being made in view of the possibility of large number of tourists coming from outside the state/districts to Mussoorie and other tourist places in Dehradun district on the occasion of Christmas Day and upcoming New Year, today date – 22-12- On 21st, a seminar was organized by the SSP with all the gazetted officers of the district, police station in-charges of the city area and traffic inspectors.

During the seminar, instructions were given by the sir to prepare a solid traffic plan for the persons/vehicles coming from outside areas on the occasion of upcoming Christmas-Day and New Year. During this, instructions were also given to take strict action against the drivers for not following the rules and obstructing the traffic by unnecessarily parking the vehicles in the no parking zone.

Simultaneously, the Superintendent of Police, Traffic, was directed to prepare a solid traffic plan in coordination with all the Police Heads/Zonal Officers and start its implementation so that if there is any mistake in it, then it can be rectified in time. The traffic plan should be prepared in such a way that the vehicles going towards Rajpur/Mussoorie from the outer areas go to the respective places through the outskirts of the city, in any case the said traffic should not enter the inner roads of the city. Apart from this, halt parking areas should be marked to stop the vehicles in Premnagar/Clementtown/Doiwala/Raipur outside the city area, so that when the traffic pressure increases at Mussoorie, Rajpur and other places, the vehicles coming in the city for some time. can be stopped. All the SHOs were directed to ensure smooth operation of traffic in their respective areas by coordinating with each other, as well as to brief all the police forces appointed under them in this regard to all the officers and in this regard. Instructions were given not to be negligent of any kind.

During the said meeting, Superintendent of Police Crime / Traffic / City / Rural, Assistant Superintendent of Police / Circle Officer Nagar / Sadar / Nehru Colony / Dalanwala / Premnagar, all the station in-charges and traffic inspectors of the city area were present.
