30-year-old RTI activist Amraram Godara, a resident of Josodo ki Beri, is undergoing treatment at a hospital in Jodhpur. Eight masked miscreants picked up Amraram from the car while getting off the bus.
After this, he took them to a secluded place and beat them up. First, both of his legs were broken by hitting him with a bar. Then hammered rods and nails in six places on both feet. After this his hands were also broken. After torturing him for several hours, he was thrown on the road thinking that he would die in a short time.
Four teams formed in search of miscreants
On the other hand, people informed the police about someone lying unconscious on the road. The police brought the injured to Balotra for treatment. Seeing his condition critical, he was referred to Jodhpur after first aid. Here he revealed his identity to the police. He told that I was going on foot after reaching my village by bus from Jodhpur. During this, masked miscreants came in Scorpio and picked me up and took me to a secluded place. After beating here, throwing them on the side of the road and leaving. He informed the police that I had complained against the liquor mafia a few days ago and had sought ITI from the gram panchayat.
Superintendent of police Deepak Bhargava told that the RTI activist is being treated under the supervision of Additional Superintendent of Police. There have been serious injuries in the body. Police have registered a case against the accused under relevant sections and formed four teams to nab them. Police is investigating at many points.
