Uttarakhand : Appeal to Hindus to take up arms in Haridwar Dharma Sansad, TMC leader complains to police

A video of a provocative speech at the Parliament of Religions in Haridwar, Uttarakhand has surfaced. In this the speaker is talking about violence against Muslims and Hindu Rashtra. Trinamool Congress leader and RTI activist Saket Gokhale has filed a complaint against the organizers and speakers of the three-day Dharma Sansad that ended on December 20.
He wrote on social media on Thursday that I have lodged a complaint at Jwalapur police station in Haridwar against the program held on December 17-20 at Ved Niketan Dham. A suit will be filed with the Judicial Magistrate for non-registration of FIR against the organizers and speakers within 24 hours.
It is alleged that even after 4 days have elapsed, action has not been taken against any speaker or organizer who gave hate speech. Police say that till now no FIR or complaint has been registered in the matter. Although many videos of this have surfaced. According to media reports, Haridwar SP Swatantra Kumar Singh has said that the police is monitoring the situation.

The Dharma Sansad was organized by a religious leader Yeti Narasimhananda. He has also been accused of inciting violence with hate speeches in the past. According to Saket Gokhale’s complaint, other people associated with the gathering are Prabodhanand Giri of Hindu Raksha Sena, Udita Tyagi of BJP women’s wing and BJP leader Ashwini Upadhyay, who is out on bail in the hate speech case.

Yeti Narasimhanand defended the speeches and said that we organized Dharma Sansad and the views of the speakers are personal. They are free to speak their mind. It doesn’t matter how much I agree or disagree with them. Freedom of expression is for all. He said that the theme of the Parliament of Religions was Islamic Jihad and Our Responsibilities. About 150 people including 50 Mahamandaleshwars participated in it.
