Panchayat elections will be postponed in Madhya Pradesh, cabinet withdraws the ordinance issued for holding elections

Panchayat elections are likely to be postponed in Madhya Pradesh. In fact, the cabinet has withdrawn the recently issued ordinance to conduct Panchayat elections. Also this proposal has been sent to the Governor. The final decision will be taken by the State Election Commission.

Panchayat elections in MP were to be held in 3 phases. In the first phase, 7 thousand 527 elections, in the second phase 7,571 and in the third phase 8,814 panchayats were discussed. Along with this, elections are to be held for the members of District and Janpad Panchayat.
