Uttarakhand : Between Kotdwara and Dugadda, 50 meters of the highway is covered in the river

In Uttarakhand, National Highway-534 has been closed due to landslide between Kotdwar and Dugadda. Around twelve o’clock in the night, 50 meters of the highway got absorbed in the Khoh river. Due to which the connectivity of Pauri, Srinagar, Badrinath, Lansdowne has been cut off from Kotdwar.
The officials of the National Highway are busy to restore the traffic. Work is going on on a war footing to clear the debris and clear the way. Dugadda is situated at a distance of 15 kms from Kotdwara. But due to the blockage of the road, people have to travel from Kotdwar truss road to Dugadda via Ramani.
