Uttarakhand / Haldwani : Largest consignment of smack ever in Kumaon, two smugglers arrested
Disclosing this, DIG Nilesh Anand Bharane in Haldwani said that two accused have been arrested in Smack smuggling while one is absconding. From whom 512 grams of smack have been recovered. DIG Bharane said that checking was done on the information of the informer near Belbaba. During this, two youths got out of the car and started running. After which the police caught them and started interrogation. During interrogation, he revealed his name as Sarik Ali son Manzoor Ali Bareilly UP. While the other told the martyr son Rumal Shah resident of Tanakpur Road, Banbhulpura. The arrested accused told that they used to buy from Bareilly and sell them at high prices in Haldwani city apart from Pithoragarh, Almora, Bageshwar districts. The price of Smack is said to be more than 50 lakhs. Smack worth 97 lakhs has been caught so far after SSP Pankaj Bhatt assumed charge.
