Hate speech case reaches SC in Haridwar Dharma Sansad, CJI said – will hear the matter soon

The matter of Hate Speech in the Parliament of Religions in Haridwar has reached the Supreme Court. In this case, the Supreme Court has also agreed to hear soon. Chief Justice NV Ramana said that we will hear the matter. Regarding this matter, senior advocate Kapil Sibal in the top court said, ‘We have filed a public interest litigation on the incidents in the Dharma Sansad in Haridwar. The slogan of the country has changed from Satyamev Jayate to Sashastramev Jayate.
The CJI said that the court will look into it. He asked whether investigation has already been done in this matter. On this, Sibal said that only FIR has been registered in the case, no action taken, no arrest. In the end, the CJI said that he would hear the matter.

Let us inform that Justice Anjana Prakash, former judge of Patna High Court and journalist Kurban Ali has filed. The petition has demanded an independent, credible and impartial investigation by the SIT of hate speech against Muslims. Along with this, a demand has been made to comply with the orders issued by the Hate Speech Supreme Court in the Tehseen Poonawala case.

He has approached the Supreme Court seeking immediate intervention in the matter related to hate speech given in two separate programs between December 17 and 19, 2021. First- organized by Yeti Narasimhanand in Haridwar and secondly organized by ‘Hindu Yuva Vahini’ in Delhi.
