The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued yellow and orange alerts forecasting rain in many states in the coming days. Talking to news agency ANI, RK Jenamani, a senior scientist of the meteorological body, said that a western disturbance is likely to hit the eastern region of the country from January 11. This Western Disturbance will advance further and cause heavy rains over central and eastern parts of the country.

Odisha: Orange alert has been issued in the state for January 11 and 12. This is because there will be hail here on January 11. Jenmani has given this information. Let us tell you that IMD’s ‘Orange Alert’ has given a warning of ‘very bad weather’. This is likely to lead to disruptions such as road and rail closures and power supply interruptions.

Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal: Yellow alert has been issued for these three states from January 11 to January 13. Yellow alert indicates ‘severely bad weather’. According to this alert, the weather may get worse, causing disruption in normal activities.

Delhi: There will be a significant reduction in rainfall in the city and there will be no rain between January 11 and January 17 as there is no further Western Disturbance. The Meteorological Department has forecast this. The weather remained cold in the morning due to rain in Delhi on Sunday. It got colder in the evening when the cold wave prevailed. The minimum temperature for the day was recorded at 13.8 degrees and the maximum temperature was 15 degrees. According to the Meteorological Department, between January 12 and 20, the maximum temperature is expected to be 20 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature is 6 and 7 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperatures are expected to remain at 17 and 18 degree Celsius respectively on 10th and 11th.

Rajasthan, Haryana and Punjab: The ongoing intense rainfall over Western Himalayas and adjoining plains (Rajasthan, Haryana and Punjab) started weakening on January 9.
