Uttar Pradesh : There is a ban on the entry of lawyers in Allahabad High Court premises, only fresh cases will be heard virtual

In view of the increasing infection of Corona in Uttar Pradesh, there will be a virtual hearing of the cases in the Allahabad High Court. In the decision taken with the judges headed by the Chief Justice, it has been said that only fresh cases will be heard in the Allahabad High Court and Lucknow Bench from Monday. In the guideline issued by Registrar General Ashish Garg, it has been said that the entry of lawyers will be prohibited in the High Court premises. On the entry of lawyers of Lucknow Bench into the court premises, it will be controlled by the Senior Registrar on the instructions of the Senior Justice there.

Decision to control the entry of judges’ staff and employees in the High Court

In the Allahabad High Court, it has been decided to control the entry of judges’ staff and other employees into the premises. It has been said that only a limited number of his personal staff, bench secretaries, peons etc. will come to the court on the instructions of the concerned judge. The Registrar General has been told that he will decide how many officers or employees are to come to the court. Allahabad High Court canteen will remain closed.

Cases in which the date of hearing was fixed, now a new date will be given

In Allahabad High Court, only fresh cases will be heard in virtual mode. It will not include cases of convicted prisoners. In the old cases in which the date of hearing was fixed, a new date will be given. It has been said in the guideline that the hearing on the suspension of the sentence and the bail application will continue regularly.
