Earlier, CM Channi had said that there is nothing to lapse in the security of the Prime Minister. There was no threat to the security of the PM. He had said, “There has been no attack on the Prime Minister.”

Appealed to BJP not to do politics
CM Channi also appealed to Prime Minister Modi not to make security a political issue. He had said that BJP leaders should not do politics on this matter. There should not be unnecessary politics on the matter. CM Channi had said that I cannot run lathis on farmers. While presenting his explanation, he said that if there is anything then we will get the investigation done.

Committee announced for investigation
The Supreme Court has announced the formation of a committee to investigate how there was a lapse in PM Modi’s security. In Punjab, a committee of five members will investigate the security lapse. This committee will include Justice (Retd) Indu Malhotra, DG (or nominee) NIA, DG Chandigarh and ADGP (Security) of Punjab.
