Big Dalit leader Joginder Mann left the Congress party, broke 50 years old relationship

Before the Punjab elections, the Congress is struggling with mutual conflict and in the meantime it has suffered another setback. Congress’s Dalit face and former Joginder Singh Mann resigned from the party on Friday. With this, he has resigned from the post of chairman of Punjab Agro Industries Corporation. Joginder Mann was a part of Congress for the last 50 years. From this it can be understood that how old he had with the party and how big a blow to the Congress would be his departure. Till now no Congress leader has commented on his departure. It is believed that he may join the Aam Aadmi Party.
Joginder Mann, a three-time MLA from Phagwara, said in a letter to Sonia Gandhi, ‘It was my dream that when I die, the three-colour Congress flag should be on my body. But today I am leaving Congress. The reason for this is that the party has given protection to those who mess with the post-matric scholarship scheme. Now my conscience does not say that I should remain in Congress. He said that some opportunist leaders have joined the party to fulfill their interests. Not only this, the party has deviated from its core values.
Joginder Mann said that for the last few months I am not able to sleep at nights. My concern is that lakhs of Dalit students have not got the scholarship they deserve. Apart from this, he once again reiterated his old demand that Phagwara should be given district status. Joginder Mann said that the people of Phagwara have to travel 40 km to Kapurthala for their administrative work. I have been repeatedly repeating this demand, but nothing has ever been done on it.
