Uttarakhand / Ramnagar : The three claimants of Ramnagar have expressed their willingness to sacrifice their electoral desire for Harish Rawat, saying – fight hard from here, we are ready to give up the claim

After Didihat, there is a demand to contest the election of former CM Harish Rawat from Ramnagar. The office bearers, including the three contenders of the Congress, have invited Harish Rawat to contest the assembly elections from Ramnagar after holding a meeting. At present, Congress working state president Ranjit Rawat, deputy senior chief Sanjay Negi, former status Pushkar Durgapal and Mahila Congress district president Asha Bisht have claimed for the ticket from Ramnagar. On Friday, a meeting of three claimants and office bearers was held in Durgapal’s office. In the meeting, the three contenders said that if Harish Rawat contests from Ramnagar, he would withdraw his candidature. The three claimants, Congress workers and Congress-supported village head and area panchayat members believe that Harda has an attachment to Ramnagar. He has also done his Intermediate studies from Ramnagar. He also has most of his relatives in the area. People of Ramnagar want to see him MLA for development.
Contesting elections from Ramnagar will also have a positive impact on Kumaon and Garhwal seats. In this regard, a letter has been sent to Congress National President Sonia Gandhi, in-charge Devendra Yadav, National General Secretary KC Venugopal, State President Ganesh Godiyal and Screening Committee Cake President Avinash Pandey. Contenders Sanjay Negi, Pushkar Durgapal, Asha Bisht, State Congress Secretary Lalit Bisht, NSUI’s Kumaon Mandal President Sumit Lohani, Congress Seva Dal’s State Secretary Kuldeep Sharma, YuC leader Gopal Adhikari, Suraj Prasad were present in the meeting.
