Azad Samaj Party will not have alliance with SP in UP

There is no alliance between the Azad Samaj Party and Samajwadi Party of Dalit leader Chandrashekhar Azad Ravan for the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections. Earlier there was news that both the parties would fight the elections together. Chandrashekhar Ravana gave this information on Friday. He has said that Akhilesh Yadav has insulted Dalits. They are silent on our rights, so we cannot support them. Chandrashekhar also said that we will not allow BJP to win.

Azad Samaj Party chief Chandrashekhar said that I have been talking to Akhilesh continuously for a month. Akhilesh has decided that he will not forge an alliance with Dalits. Akhilesh has humiliated me. I think they do not want the leadership of Dalits to stand. I had left the responsibility on Akhilesh whether to join the alliance or not. But he didn’t reply till date.

They were not coming together on the issue of reservation in promotion. The way BJP is playing with Dalits by eating food. Same is the case with Akhilesh Yadav. We wanted Akhilesh Yadav to keep our issues but he was avoiding it. So we have decided that we are not going in alliance.

Mulayam Singh Yadav was made CM by Kanshi Ram but he cheated. We did not want this to happen to the Dalit community this time also. To stop BJP, I put my self-respect at stake.

Chandrashekhar said that defeating BJP in UP is our goal, we will not allow BJP to come to power. Akhilesh doesn’t need Dalits. We have decided that we will not enter into an alliance with SP now. We have used sticks against BJP. We will fight on our own. The first effort will be to unite the opposition which is scattered. If the government comes from BJP, then Dalits and backwards will have to face 5 years.

In the last 5 years, the Samajwadi Party did not raise its voice on the killing and exploitation of Dalits. Earlier, the police had not given permission for the press conference of Azad Samaj Party chief Chandrashekhar. It has been said that they can hold conferences only with selected workers.
