Ban on rallies, public meetings extended till January 22- Central Election Commission’s decision, next review will be done on 22 after looking at the situation of Corona


In view of the ever-increasing transition of Corona, the Election Commission has now extended the ban on election rallies and road shows till January 22. The period of the ban was till 15 January i.e. till date, which has now been extended for another 7 days.
After January 22, now after looking at the figures of Corona, the Election Commission will issue the next order. Significantly, while announcing the dates of the elections, it was said by the Election Commission that in view of Corona, election rallies and road shows are being banned till January 15 and again on January 15, the condition of Corona will be reviewed. And only after that it will be decided whether the ban will remain or will it be lifted. However, the Election Commission had said that political parties and workers can do door to door campaigns.
