Before the assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, IPS officer Aseem Arun, who was posted as Commissioner of Police in Kanpur, on Sunday joined BJP at the party office in Lucknow. . On this occasion, BJP State President Swatantra Dev Singh and Union Minister Anurag Thakur were present.

After joining BJP, Aseem Arun said that I am very happy today, I am satisfied. The BJP has a vision to develop a new leadership. They run it like a plan. I am also a part of this plan. I am very grateful to the party for giving me this opportunity. He said that I am a rookie of politics, if there is any mistake then I will forgive.

Former IPS officer Aseem Arun said that the law and order situation in UP has improved a lot under Yogi Raj. I thank CM Yogi for giving such power not only to the police but to the entire system, which could improve. He said that a lot of work is yet to be done for the deprived-Dalit society. I will try that the deprived-Dalit society can move forward. The former IPS officer had recently announced his intention to join politics by resigning from his job.
