Center warns all states by writing a letter, do not reduce corona investigation, increase testing immediately

The central government has asked all the states and union territories to immediately increase the number of tests for corona virus. The Union Health Ministry has issued a letter saying that in the hotspots and densely populated areas of Corona, the states and union territories should immediately increase the testing in a strategic manner.

The advisory states that people living in closed densely populated areas and COVID hotspots, including people at high risk of exposure to ‘corona infected’, should be tested.

Actually, the graph of corona in the country is now coming down a bit. In the last 24 hours, 2.38 lakh new cases were reported in the country, which is 7.8% less than Sunday. There has also been a slight decrease in the infection rate. The positivity rate on Monday was 13.11% which was 14.78% on Sunday.

Corona cases are continuously decreasing in Delhi and Mumbai too. Both of these were hotspots of Corona, where cases increased rapidly. But now the cases are decreasing in both the places for a few days.

Did this decrease testing?

The new guidelines of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) are also believed to be one of the reasons for the decrease in the investigation of corona. According to ICMR’s new guideline on corona testing, people who came in contact with positive also do not need to get corona tested.

The ICMR guideline says that only those people who came in contact with the infected need to be tested, whose age is above 60 years and who have any serious disease. The government has placed the elderly and people suffering from serious illness in the high risk category.

14,803 cases in UP

On the other hand, 14803 new cases of corona have been reported in Uttar Pradesh within 24 hours. These include 2173 in Lucknow, 1262 in Noida and 909 in Ghaziabad. During this, 12 deaths were also recorded in the state. Now the total number of active cases here has reached 101114.
