Election Commission gave relief to Shikshamitras and Anganwadi workers in UP, duty will not be charged in elections

The Election Commission has taken a big decision in UP. Let us tell you that the Election Commission has given a big decision regarding the deployment of Shikshamitras, Employment Assistants, Instructors and Anganwadi workers as polling personnel. The Election Commission has given instructions to keep all the workers including Shikshamitras, Instructors and Anganwadi in the reserve pool. This means that they will be deployed according to the need only after the regular government employees.
Know when the duty of Shikshamitras and Instructors of Uttar Pradesh will be taken
The duty of Shikshamitras and Instructors etc. will be imposed in the Vidhan Sabha elections only when there is a need of personnel even after putting all the regular government employees in the election work. The Officer on Special Duty, Office of the Chief Electoral Officer has issued instructions to all the District Election Officers in this regard. On the other hand, Shikshamitra Sangh has also opposed it.
Special Officer Ramesh Chandra Rai has written in the order sent to the districts that the Election Commission of India has issued instructions regarding the posting of Shikshamitras, Employment Assistants, Instructors, Anganwadi personnel and other equivalents as polling personnel in the assembly elections. It states that the duty of such personnel will be imposed in the respective districts only if it is certified by the district that the regular government employees from the divisional pool have been fully deployed. It is also directed that as far as possible, the said personnel should be kept in the reserve pool. If needed, Shikshamitras will be appointed as Polling Officer II and other personnel as Polling Officer III.
According to the decision of the Election Commission, three instructions have been given regarding posting of Shikshamitras, Mahila Shikshamitras, Employment Assistants, Instructors, Anganwadi workers and other equivalents as polling personnel.
- The duty of such personnel will be imposed by the concerned district only if it is certified by the district that the regular government employees received from the divisional pool have been fully utilized.
- As far as possible, the above personnel should be kept in the reserve pool.
- Shiksha Mitras should be appointed as Polling Officer II and other personnel only as Polling Officer III.
