Haryana / Gurugram : A child bought for 50 thousand is sold up to four lakhs

As the police investigation in the child-trading case progresses, the layers are getting exposed. The police have so far arrested 13 accused in this case. Four children have also been recovered. Exposeing the child-trading gang is considered to be a major success of the DLF Phase-III police station. DLF Phase-3 SHO Manoj Yadav’s team is working diligently in this matter. In this case, three accused, including a woman, will be produced in the court on Thursday after the police remand is over.

The network of child-trading gangs is spread from Delhi to Rajasthan. The police is trying to get to the bottom of the matter. The police is also probing whether the wires of this gang are also connected with the child-lifter gang. However, in the police investigation so far, no case of connection of this gang to the child-lifter gang has come to light.

Most of the people associated with this gang belong to the poor class. Some gang members make deals to buy children from needy people in slums. If the needy people have more than two or three children, then this gang talks to those people to buy the child. In the purchase, both the boy or the girl are dealt with. The price of a girl is 40 to 50 thousand rupees and that of a boy is 50 to 70 thousand rupees. This price also depends on the beauty and complexion of the child. The gang member who buys the children further sells it to another member with some profit. In this way the child continues to be sold from one to the other and from the second to the third. In the end, the price of a girl ranges from two to two and a half lakh rupees, while the price of a boy ranges from two and a half to three lakhs. Seeing the beauty and complexion of the boy, this price also goes up to four lakhs. These children are sold to childless couples.
